How to change your last name after the wedding in PA or prove you're legally married in Pennsylvania
Certified Marriage Record is the legal documentation you need to prove you're legally married. This is used to change your last name, insurance, or anytime you need to prove you're legally married.
On the day of your wedding, you don't need to sign anything. You signed everything when you applied for your marriage license. The only signature that's needed is your Officiant's. Then they will mail your marriage license (within 10 days) back to the county courthouse which they will then process it.
In about 10-20 days you will receive the Certified Marriage Record (to prove you're legally married) in the mail. If you haven't, you can call the county courthouse and they will inform you if you have to personally pick it up or it's still being processed and will be mailed to you soon.
Reverend Marc performing a baseball theme wedding at the Private Home in Blandon, PA
I would like to start off by saying a big Thank You Marc for being so amazing to work with for my wedding. You are very sweet and kind and helped me keep my cool through a lot of the chaos that was going on with planning our wedding. You made me worry free with making me know that I was in very good hands with you. I also can't say enough about Marc!! He was absolutely fantastic at both the rehearsal and the wedding. He made us all laugh and enjoy our special day. It was awesome that he wore my husbands jersey for our ceremony!! I can't tell you how many complements we received from our friends and family on how great he was for everything. Again, I would like to say another big THANK YOU for everything and helping make our wedding such an awesome day.
